Life Rolls On, DBLA and The Power of Community

In the heart of Kennesaw at Swift-Cantrell Park, an extraordinary event will be unfolding on April 27th.  This isn't just any gathering; it's a groundbreaking skate park event that the remarkable foundation, Life Rolls On will be hosting.

Participants, ranging from young children to adults, each with their unique stories of perseverance, take to the ramps with an infectious enthusiasm.

As wheelchairs glide and cheers fill the air, the event is a powerful reminder that life, indeed, rolls on, fueled by the courage to embrace every moment and the strength of a community united for a greater good.

Life Rolls On is renowned for its unwavering commitment to enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities and has paved the way for empowerment through adaptive sports.

Disabled Business Leaders of America (DBLA) is committed to making a tangible difference in the lives of disabled individuals through business growth and development and will be one of the sponsors of this inspiring event.

To bolster the fundraising efforts, the DBLA is selling specially designed t-shirts, with ALL proceeds going to Life Rolls On. These t-shirts are not just articles of clothing but symbols of support, unity, and belief in a cause that touches many lives.

By purchasing a T-shirt, you are contributing to the ongoing support and expansion of Life Rolls On's vital programs. Your support enables more individuals to experience the joy and freedom of adaptive sports, reinforcing the belief that anything is possible, regardless of physical challenges.

Let's come together to support this incredible cause. Buy a t-shirt, wear it proudly, and be part of a movement that celebrates ability, courage, and the power of community. Together, we can make a difference, one T-shirt, one person, one smile at a time.

Should You Start A Nonprofit Or A For-Profit Business?

Considering starting a business? Many disabled individuals I've spoken to lean towards the nonprofit path, driven by their desire to help others facing similar challenges. But is it right for you?

It's important to note that while nonprofits can be a powerful platform for advocacy and change, for-profit businesses can also create impact by employing individuals with disabilities, promoting accessibility, and developing innovative products or services that cater to their needs.

Ultimately, the choice between a for-profit or nonprofit path depends on the individual's goals, resources, and the specific context in which they aim to create positive change.

The article compares nonprofit, not-for-profit, and for-profit organizations, explaining the differences and similarities between them.

Nonprofit organizations are tax-exempt and focused on providing a public benefit, while not-for-profit organizations may still generate income but reinvest it back into the organization.

For-profit organizations aim to generate revenue for shareholders.

Each type of organization has its own unique goals and structures, but they all play a role in contributing to society in different ways.
